Sarasota County to discontinue residential Backflow Preventer inspections in 2016. Homeowners who are in the county program, will have their regular inspection performed in 2015. After 2015, homeowners will still be required to have their backflow preventer inspected each year, and will need to make arrangements with a certified plumber for the 2016 inspections.
